I made it down the coast in 17 hours...

I've been driving and shearing a bit and driving and shearing some more. I'm ALMOST home. I want to share some pictures and insight into my last few days and some advice going into the start o shearing season (yes, whether you realize it or not, SPRING IS HERE!!!!)

Heading down through Iowa...we had a lovely "beam me up" sunrise:)

Sheep at the USDA research center in Nebraska. Just restin'.

Outskirts of the USDA center is full of these little shelters that now stand empty, they used to be full of munitions and supplies for the war. Can anyone say intentional community? They would make perfect small homes:)

Heading through ST Louis, MO. Saw the arch:)

Shearing some of the BeST sheep in the east...no seriously:) Those white face beauties must be mine:)

Yes her.

Got to visit the Zeilinger Woolen Mill in Michigan! Fabulous folks work there. It was quite a treat.

Carding and roving machines...

Yummmm:)

Wool washing room...Got Bathtub?

Somehow bath time seems less relaxing.

Drying racks...

Comb top machine...

Carding into batts...

Wool batt bliss!!

Combed top

Spinning machines...

Piles and piles of wool...
